Twitter Riesling Pairings!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

thaifoodToday was #WineWednesday on Twitter. Just got these great pairing suggestions from our Tweeples….

TasterB (@smellslikegrape) says: “My favorite pairing is fish tacos with lime and creamy chipotle dressing.”

Steve Scott (@Steve ScottWCBS) says: “Love your riesling paired with a spicy Thai dish. Perfect together!”

VinoMike (@VinoMike) says: “I love pairing a German riesling kabinett with Thai foods, especially curry dishes!”

Thanks everyone, for the great suggestions. You’re so right… rieslings are perfect with spicy foods…and now we’re hungry for some great Thai/taco riesling pairings!

A drink to the success of family vineyards

By TAN KARR WEI

The Star
Saturday, April 18, 2009

“As a kid, you saw everything that was happening but it didn’t mean that you’d be interested,” said Loosen, who was at a wine tasting session at the Long Bar in One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya, to talk about the Dr Loosen Riesling wines.

Riesling Ring in Japan

rieslingring2009-japan

Hello from Japan! I’m attending the Riesling Ring tasting. It was a huge success– nearly 400 people–and we are all very grateful to Fumiko Ari of the Riesling Ring for organizing this excellent event.

Etienne Hugel of Hugel & Fils (Alsace) also attended. The 2007 vintage he showed I found quite impressive! Etienne was very charming, and we hope to see him at the next Riesling Rendezvous in July 2010.
