Dr. Loosen & Robert Weil at Universal Studios

While we fervently wish this was The Harlanator, alas, he wasn't available on location that day.

Hooray for Hollywood!

Dr. Loosen and Robert Weil are going glam at Universal Studios on September 25th when we will be pouring at the 28th Annual American Wine & Food Festival in support of the Meals On Wheels Programs of Los Angeles.

One of the largest wine and food events in the U.S., the evening will host more than 2,000 attendees eating and drinking among the various stage sets. (Personally, we’re hoping for the Roman Forum, where Ben Hur and Spartacus were filmed.)

Brian (The Harlanator) Harlan will be there pouring Dr. Loosen Rieslings. Thomas Chaffin, Export Manager, will be pouring Robert Weil wines. No word yet on whether they’ll be wearing tuxes or togas.

Join us for this elegant night with all the pretty people of LA strutting their stuff. Action!

Riesling Ring in Japan

rieslingring2009-japan

Hello from Japan! I’m attending the Riesling Ring tasting. It was a huge success– nearly 400 people–and we are all very grateful to Fumiko Ari of the Riesling Ring for organizing this excellent event.

Etienne Hugel of Hugel & Fils (Alsace) also attended. The 2007 vintage he showed I found quite impressive! Etienne was very charming, and we hope to see him at the next Riesling Rendezvous in July 2010.
